What we collect
WhereCanIGo uses Google Analytics (via Firebase) to understand which passports and destinations people look at, so we know where to focus curation effort. That includes:
- Standard page-view data (page URL, referrer, user agent).
- Your approximate location and IP address — handled by Google Analytics; not stored by us directly.
- Anonymous events for: selecting a passport, clicking a destination, opening the report form, submitting the report form, changing the view mode (globe / list), applying a filter, and comparing two passports.
Report form
If you submit the “Spot an inaccuracy” form, the data you enter (your name, email, the passport and countries involved, your notes, and any source URLs) is sent through Web3Forms to our inbox. We use that information only to verify and update the relevant entry, and to reply to you if needed.
What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad cookies, no third-party trackers beyond Google Analytics.
- No accounts, no profiles, no email list.
- We don't sell or share data with anyone.
Opting out
To opt out of Google Analytics globally, install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also use any standard tracker-blocking browser extension — we don't do anything to circumvent them.
Contact
Questions, deletion requests, or anything else: reach out via the report form on any passport page, or email the address listed in that form's confirmation.
